Java Grand Mosque

The mosque is located at Jl. Gajah Raya, Sambirejo village, district Gayamsari. The capacity of this mosque is quite a lot, can accommodate thousands of worshipers both inside and outside the building. The mosque was inaugurated by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in 2006. Now, the mosque was also one of the attractive tourist destinations to visit when they are in Semarang. Looks multiple poles mengelinlingi mosque courtyard area. There are a series of calligraphy accent on top of the gate of the mosque. Rows of majestic mosque door and sturdiness.There are six giant hydraulic umbrella that can open and close automatically. This design was adopted from the architecture of the Prophet's Mosque in the city of Medina. Hydraulic umbrella is only opened at the time of Friday prayers and religious holidays only.

Temple
Built in 1946 by the Dutch military from the Brigade T when it was served in Semarang. In March 1947 funeral was officially unveiled as a special hero Dutch cemetery. In awlanya buried here are the Dutch military members who died during 1946-1949. Then here also reburied Dutch military who died in places born during World War II (1942-1945). Initially the cemetery was named Ereveld Tillemaplein in accordance with the original name Sudirman Park. In 1967 renamed to Erevald temple. In the same year also here also reburied Dutch military members who moved from ereveld in Palembang and Makassar. Hotel Candi Baru
Built in 1919 as a residence for businessman Van Demen Wars. Building in art deco style that is simple, there are on a hilltop with panoramic city views. Before World War II the house was dismantled into Hotel Bellevue. During the war the name changed to Hotel Sakura for a short time and after independence Bellevue kambali dugunakan name. In 1961 the hotel eventually turned into Hotel Candi Baru. The original atmosphere of the hotel is well-maintained, especially with en suite rooms on the ground floor is decorated with stained glass windows are beautiful.
